DR. ROBERT TAY

Dr. Robert Kweku Tay is a dynamic Procurement and Supply Chain Management specialist with 20 years plus of expertise in procurement and supply chain management both in the private and public sector.
Dr. Tay led the Purchase to Pay (PTP) process on Project Everest for Diageo in Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited as a Regional process Owner in Ghana and across West Africa to successfully deploy SAP SOFTWARE for the Diageo Ghana and Nigeria markets before joining mainstream business as a Demand Procurement Category Manager. He also practiced at GIMPA and Teledata Group of companies among others.
Dr. Tay has a Doctor of Business Administration from CASS European Institute of Management Studies, Luxembourg in France. A Master of Science in Supply Chain Management from Coventry University, UK. A Post Graduate Diploma in Procurement and Materials Management from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). He is a chartered Fellow of the chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT-Ghana & UK) and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply ( CIPS- Ghana & UK) Dr Tay lectures Supply Chain Management and Logistics Operations Management on the Coventry University Masters Program @ GCTU- Ghana Communication Technology University. Dr Tay facilitates on a series of Professional Programs as well. He is a full Member of the Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply (GIPS-Ghana) and also a full Member of Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management, Ghana (MCISM-Ghana).
Dr. Tay currently works for the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA). He is a Deputy Director and Heads the Procurement and Stores Department of the Authority, spearheading the restructuring and strategic placement of the function and working as the key driving force behind all the SMART Procurement and Supply innovations and initiatives at the DVLA.
